Global People Transitions is looking for You
We are on a Mission to Bring the Human Touch Back into Global Mobility
We offer a six months internship at Global People Transitions GmbH. As an intern, you would have the opportunity to work within a small global, virtual team. We need academic support to assert the scientific background behind our coaching methodology and to manage projects that require academic research skills and presentation preparation skills. The internship can be combined with a university project or a thesis. In that case, I would be your secondary thesis supervisor.
Academic Intern
As part of your tasks and responsibilities, you will assist the Managing Director and team with diverse tasks which include:
- Quality assurance of our programs.
- Research academic background for presentations and lectures in IHRM, Global Mobility, and Intercultural Communication.
- Update presentations to a level where they can be easily commented on and edited by the Managing Director.
- Support book writing with references, proposals, editing, and additional input.
- Support the organization of workshops, flip chart documentation, and participant profiles.
- Support with HireMeExpress, one of our programs to help Minorities and Expat Partners to find a Job in Switzerland.
- Small projects that involve research and writing handouts for programs.
Your profile
We’re looking for a junior professional, who is autonomous and self-sufficient. The work requires basic knowledge of Google Business tools, MS Office Package, and Accounting. You will also need a functioning personal computer or laptop and a good internet connection as the internship is done virtually.
We expect an excellent level of English in writing, German or French is an advantage. We’re looking for Master’s students in IHRM, Global Mobility, Intercultural Communication, or Intercultural Management.
Location
This internship may be accomplished virtually from long-distance provided the candidates have a work permit in the country of work.
The internship pays EUR 900 gross per month no matter where you work. It’s required that you ensure correct taxation and social security deductions of this amount.
We will offer regular 1:1 coaching sessions with Angie Weinberger during the internship. Ideally, you work full-time. However, we count your academic research as work time. Switzerland has a 42-hour work week, so full-time means 42 hours. 🙂
Start date: 1 April 2023
Three days of training before the start date with the current intern are required.

Please apply with
- A five-minute video pitch to explain your motivation
