An Evening at the Theatre (So 1926!)

The season preview 2026 – 2027 at @schauspielhaus.ch – What a great event. Thank you for the invitation.

What stood out for me this year:
1) The presentation felt more aligned with the audience.
2) The audience: So many positive vibes before, during, and after the presentation. Special thank you to @klamydiavonkarma for your laughs. It’s so good to hear other people laugh out loud, too. (It’s actually allowed in Switzerland during opening hours, and just until 10 PM.)
3) A chat with Florian Voigt that resulted in an autograph. (I normally would not have asked, but I received a personalized note with my program, so I used this as a hook.)
4) I met another great actor in person and used the wrong first name (and said Du right away, shame on me.)
5) Conversations about “Monster” with someone who was involved.
6) The decorations. So cute.
7) The program. So 1926, yet so modern. I look forward to ALL of it.
8) The music: “Somewhere over the rainbow”, “Mackie Messer”, “I want you back for good”, dance performances, and general vibe.
9) Mousetrap teaser looks very promising, especially the idea of presenting some shows in British English.

I have been a friend of @schauspielhaus.ch for at least the last eight years, and last night I finally felt they were my friends too. My tribe, my people, and my theatre.
