Angela Weinberger’s Global Coaching Approach
Agile
Angela (“Angie”) Weinberger’s Global Coaching Approach is based on a toolbox of methodologies and techniques for challenging clients and helping them grow. Based on participant feedback, we can adapt and move quickly from one approach to another. We subscribe to the philosophies of the Agile Manifesto and believe in their concept for structuring our projects. We also continuously improve our work and design programs for the long term and with your individual experience in mind.
Effective
Understanding your needs and goals is critical to the effectiveness of any coaching or training program. Weinberger developed a global competency model that encourages you to reflect on your experiences, build knowledge, change your attitudes, and enhance your skills. Every coaching program is customized to your needs and builds on your three leading career and life goals.
Interactive
We aim to involve participants and make the process as active as possible. Clients apply learned knowledge through their own problem-solving, practical exercises or training others. We know the retention factor in. our workshops is higher than in classical lectures. Weinberger went through initial training in interactive training design with Dr. Janet Bennet and Thiagi, one of the most excellent intercultural trainers.
She started to work as a trainer at AIESEC while she was still at university, and this talent was quickly discovered at Deutsche Bank. Weinberger jokes that she taught transactional analysis to managers without really grasping it. Still, she could explain complex models well, so they kept letting her run training next to her job in Human Resources.
Holistic
We use a holistic approach based on the method of coach educator Drs. Boudewijn Vermeulen (1939 – 2014). This method was further developed by Weinberger’s coach educator and supervisor, Dr. Eva Kinast, into a holistic, body-oriented, intercultural coaching method. This method focuses on relationships and the body-mind-heart connection and is inspired by the deep psychology of Carl Gustav Jung. The concept of body learning is grounded in the research of Dr. Muneo Jay Yoshikawa and Eastern philosophies and practices.
Systemic
We work in a systemic way that aims to highlight, share, and respect the views and stories of all participants and build a constructive way forward for all. Our systemic approach builds on Bernd Schmid’s and Niklas Luhmann’s research and work. Weinberger was also influenced by communication and relationship experts such as Friedemann Schulz von Thun, Paul Watzwalick, and Eric Berne.
Kaffee und Kuchen – Talk
Weinberger also does not hesitate to explain that while reading and academic models are part of her German nerdiness, she thinks the main reason she became an intercultural relationship-focused and trauma coach was her parents and aunt and the conversations they had around the breakfast and dinner table. She still discusses psychological topics, early childhood trauma and family dynamics with her mother and aunt when she is back in Germany. However, they now insist on having coffee and cake simultaneously (“Kaffee und Kuchen” is, after all, one of the best German things).
