My Red Couch Talk with Nouran Zarroug

Nouran Zarroug

With over 15 years in the Talent Mobility sector, Nouran Zarroug has built her career on guiding both corporates and suppliers toward best practices in cross-border compliance and global mobility (GM) policy. Her work has spanned collaborations with multi-national companies—where she championed the strategic importance of Talent Mobility—and a leadership role overseeing the EMEA region for Worldwide ERC.

What sets Nouran apart is her ability to bridge operational excellence with genuine human connection. A Third Culture Kid and lifelong Expat during her childhood, she developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and the rich perspectives they bring. This early experience shapes her professional approach, enabling her to navigate complexity with empathy and insight.

Her passion for people and places is evident not only in her work but also in her advocacy. Nouran is a strong voice for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB), working as both an advocate and trainer. She believes that authenticity and vulnerability—qualities often missing from daily interactions—are essential to creating meaningful connections in life and work.

Her career reflects a rare balance: technical expertise in compliance and policy combined with an unwavering commitment to human-centered leadership.

The Red Couch Talks

The Red Couch Talks feature thought leaders, expats, and entrepreneurs in #globalmobility. We use a red couch as a backdrop for a deeper conversation, almost like a coaching session. It’s the only furniture we‘ve had since I was eight. It’s been around the block and travelled with me from place to place. It’s almost falling apart, but it’s my happy place to chill.
