My Red Couch Talk with Rebecca Stephens

Rebecca Stephens

Rebecca Stephens began her career in mobility as a Relocation Counselor at Motorola, managing one of the largest mobility programs by volume at the time. She specialized in Executive relocations and large group moves. Her next role was as Sr. Director of Account Management at Dell, during a mobility “hay-day” when employees at all levels were offered home sale and moving household goods benefits—which extended even into the housing crisis 2008. Navigating home sales in that challenging market taught her key skills: Resilience (as relocation professionals faced daily challenges), High Emotional Intelligence (guiding upset employees and leaders through difficult conversations), and Creative Problem-Solving (devising innovative strategies to handle individual home sales and inventory management).

In addition to her mobility expertise, Rebecca Stephens is also an artist. With a degree in Graphic Design, she brings right-brain creativity to her problem-solving, complemented by a balanced left-brain analytical approach. This creative and logical duality has been repeatedly confirmed through corporate assessments over the years and is often recognized in her work. She thrives on hearing, “I would have never thought of that—let’s try it!”

She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, equipping her with a high EQ for building and assessing mobility programs tailored to clients’ hiring and benefit philosophies. Additionally, her Master’s degree in Legal Studies focusing on HR and Employment Law enables her to view mobility programs through a compliance lens, offering invaluable guidance to clients.

Driven by a passion for helping others, Rebecca Stephens uses her expertise to guide clients confidently through the complexities and stresses of mobility. She excels at creating supportive policies, building programs that manage costs, mitigate risks, and support employees and their families. This passion inspired her to establish Talent Mobility Experts, allowing her to share the power of orchestrating global mobility success with others.
